This past weekend my husband and I went to Omaha, Nebraska to see our Texas Longhorns play in the College World Series!  They played in the new Ameritrade Park which was a beautiful stadium!  Even though the Longhorns lost, we had a great time!

I always make it a point to visit a Cupcake Bakery whenever I travel to a new city.  So on our way home  Sunday, we went to visit Jones Bros Cupcakes!  For those of you who are fans of the show Cupcake Wars on the Food Network, you may remember Bill from Jones Bros Cupcakes, he was a contestant on the Valentines Day show this past February.  He came in second place!  I got to meet Bill and talk “cupcakes” with him… he was a super nice guy and loves what he does, he gave some great advice for Cupcake City!  The guest judge on his show was Fabio… yes, THE FABIO!  He told me a funny story about him, apparently Fabio does not eat sweets and he thought he was going to judge a “CRABcake” competition!  He said he ate a fork twine amount of frosting and of cake.  Guess he was a little disappointed, huh?!  Why in the world he would think he would be selected to judge a Crabcake competition is beyond me.. but oh well!  It was great to meet Bill and try his cupcakes.. he even took a picture with me!  Next time you visit Omaha, be sure to check out Jones Bros Cupcakes and try a Red Velvet, it was my favorite!
